Accessibility & Disabilities

I will make New York work for disabled New Yorkers by expanding accessibility, protecting equal opportunity, and creating public systems built for dignity and independence.

A city is only as strong as its ability to work for everyone who lives in it. Right now, too many disabled and differently abled New Yorkers are forced to navigate systems that were never designed with them in mind — from inaccessible housing and transit to bureaucracies that make independence harder instead of easier.

I believe that disabled New Yorkers deserve more than accommodations after the fact. They deserve a city and state that are designed for access, dignity, and independence from concept to completion.

Make New York Livable and Accessible
I will work to ensure that there are stronger accessibility standards in housing, transit, and public infrastructure so disabled New Yorkers are not forced to fight building by building and block by block for basic access.

Protect Economic Independence and Equal Opportunity
Disabled New Yorkers deserve good jobs, fair wages, and the ability to live independently. I support ending discriminatory wage loopholes, expanding pathways into public service and stable employment, and making sure state government leads by example in hiring, workplace accessibility, and enforcement of disability rights.
